BIOSTART
Granulated Organic Fertilizer Based on Sewage Sludge
Granulated organic fertilizer made from sewage sludge is an effective, economical, and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fertilizers. It is easy to handle, quality-controlled, and suitable for both large-scale farming and smallholder use.
BIOSTART is a granulated, homogeneous organic fertilizer produced from a mixture of sewage sludge, plant-based biomass (e.g., straw, green waste), and microbiological additives, through industrial-scale composting and drying.
Why are our organic products unique?
From waste to valuable product
environmentally friendly, reduces landfill burden, and aligns with the EU’s circular economy goals.
Soil-improving effect
increases humus content, improves soil structure, and enhances water retention.
Stable, controlled composition
measurable NPK content, safe to use.
Easy to handle
dry, odorless, suitable for mechanical application.
Economical alternative
can cost half as much as chemical fertilizers and is more cost-effective in the long run, ensuring longer-lasting nutrient supply.
Field crop production
wheat, corn, sunflower, etc.
Horticulture and ornamental plant cultivation
Open-field vegetable production
Fruits grown in open fields
e.g., melons
Establishing orchards
pome fruits, berries, stone fruits
Reclamation
improvement of degraded and contaminated soils, replanting green areas
Afforestation
Applications / Recommended usage
Granulated organic fertilizer can be widely used in agriculture, horticulture, and for environmental purposes:
Key benefits for farmers
- Replaces expensive chemical fertilizers – a natural and cost-effective solution
- Nutrient content equivalent to chemical fertilizers
- Noticeable cost savings from the very first season
- Improvement in crop quality
- Higher yields and better quality – stronger, healthier plants
- Enhances soil productivity, activates soil life – improved structure and water retention
- Improves soil quality and structure – applicable to all soil types
- Environmentally friendly – compost granules reduce the harmful effects of chemical fertilizers
Solution to rising fertilizer prices
With Biostart granules, farmers can cut their fertilization costs by up to half.
While fertilizing 1 hectare with chemical fertilizer costs around €200 on average, the same with Biostart costs only €90–100. In addition, it not only provides the same nutrient content but also enriches the soil with meso- and microelements, increasing long-term productivity.
Additional key benefits for farmers
Higher yields
The gradual release of nutrients ensures more uniform growth, leading to a noticeable increase in yields already in the first year.
Better quality crops
Healthier soils and balanced nutrient supply result in better-looking, tastier, and more marketable produce – whether vegetables, fruits, or field crops.
Long-term soil improvement
Organic fertilizer builds “living soil”: it improves humus content, structure, and water retention. With regular use, the soil becomes more resilient to extreme weather conditions.
More sustainable farming
By activating soil life and reducing synthetic inputs, farmers not only produce but also build their land – for the next generation.
